WELCOME TO ISGR – A SCHOOL WHERE THE WORLD MEETS

At ISGR, students from around the world learn together in a welcoming, inclusive and academically ambitious environment.

For 30 years, we have brought together families from different cultures, languages and backgrounds, creating a school community that reflects the world our students will one day help shape.

We believe that diversity enriches learning. Every day, students encounter new perspectives, develop intercultural understanding and learn the value of respect, empathy and collaboration.

As an accredited IB World School, we combine internationally recognised programmes with high academic standards, helping students develop the knowledge, understanding and confidence to thrive in an interconnected world.

At ISGR, we believe that a strong school-home partnership is essential for every student’s success. Our diverse and international parent community plays an important role in school life, contributing to the positive and inclusive culture we’re proud of.

Moving to Gothenburg

New to Gothenburg? We’ve gathered helpful tips and guidance to support your family’s transition. From local services to school routines, this page helps you settle in with confidence.

Parent Partnership

A strong partnership between school and home plays an important role in every student’s learning and wellbeing.

At ISGR, we value open, respectful communication and believe that students thrive when families and school work together.

Parents can support their child by encouraging regular attendance, establishing positive routines, engaging with school communication, and reaching out when questions or concerns arise.

Families are also encouraged to take part in the wider school community in ways that suit their time and interests.

Getting involved

PTA

The Parent Teacher Association helps strengthen the school community through events, initiatives, and family engagement.

Parent Council

The Parent Council provides a forum for parent representatives and school leadership to share perspectives, raise questions, and support ongoing dialogue.

Parent Volunteers

Parents may also have opportunities to support school events, activities, and community initiatives throughout the year. As an international school community, we value collaboration, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in helping students succeed.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Our PTA brings families together through school events and activities. Every parent is welcome to join or volunteer—your support helps build a vibrant school community.

Parent Council

The Parent Council is a forum for dialogue between parents and school leadership. It’s a space to share ideas, raise concerns, and help shape the future of our school.

Academic Calendar

Stay up to date with key dates, holidays, and term times throughout the school year. The academic calendar helps you plan ahead and stay informed.

Toddle

Toddle is the communication platform for school announcements, contact with the teacher and PYP leadership team.  On Toddle, parents & guardians can access PYP documents, student learning portfolios, progress reports and the PYP curriculum. Parents receive their login code upon enrollment.

SchoolSoft

SchooSoft is used to record students’ attendance and store contact information. Parents should keep their contact details up to date in SchoolSoft. Parents must report their child if they are sick, late or absent due to an appointment before 07:45 am.
