On 24 September, ISGR marked Emergency Preparedness Day with a practical lesson in how everyday life can change during a crisis.
Our school kitchen took on a different kind of challenge, preparing lunch under conditions inspired by an emergency situation, such as limited access to water or a power outage.
The aim was to show how we can adapt, think creatively and make safe, practical and sustainable choices when the unexpected happens. Even a daily routine like preparing and serving lunch can become an opportunity to learn about preparedness and resilience.
At ISGR, we believe that understanding how to respond when circumstances change is an important part of learning.
