International Exchange: LgrM welcomed students and teachers from Berlin

Last week, ISGR welcomed students and teachers from Berlin 🇩🇪 as part of the Grade 9 LGRM exchange programme. During their stay in Gothenburg, the students lived with host families and took part in a variety of activities and excursions together with their Swedish peers.

The exchange focuses on sustainability and climate-related topics, giving students the opportunity to explore global challenges through collaboration and shared experiences. During a visit to World of Volvo, the students participated in workshops about car safety, innovation, and sustainable thinking. They learned about Volvo’s role in introducing the three-point seatbelt and explored how vehicles are designed to maximise safety.

As part of the workshops, students worked in teams to build and test Lego cars designed to protect their passengers as effectively as possible. They also took part in collaborative building challenges that encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The week also included visits to Universeum, the Ostindiefararen Götheborg, and the Gothenburg archipelago with a trip to Brännö, ending with a wonderful closing evening together at school.

We are grateful for a memorable week filled with learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange!
