Who are we?

ISGR supports two sections with two curriculum frameworks

The International Section
Together with our High School (IHGR), ISGR offers three International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes for grades K-12, taught in English: PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme) and DP (Diploma Programme).

Den Internationella sektionen erbjuder, i samarbete med vår gymnasieskola IHGR, tre International Baccalaureate (IB) program med undervisning på engelska i årskurserna K-12: PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme) och DP (Diploma Programme).

The Swedish Section
Offers the Swedish national curriculum (LGR11) for grades F to 9: LGRP (Primary Years) and LGRM (Middle Years). As of 2017, the Swedish section has permission to teach up to 50% of its curriculum in English.

One Internationally Minded School Culture
ISGR strives to build a strong community across the whole school. Both sections have students from over 60 nationalities. Our experienced and qualified staff educate life-long learners who embrace diversity and explore the world.

Since 2008, ISGR has maintained accreditation by The Council of International Schools (CIS) for grades F -10. The most recent accreditation was achieved in spring 2018. Our commitment to this ongoing process ensures that our organisation continues to develop positively.

ISGR was founded in 1997 and is owned by the Gothenburg Region, made up of 13 municipalities: Mölndal, Partille, Lerum, Kungsbacka, Kungälv, Öckerö, Stenungsund, Tjörn, Alingsås, Härryda, Ale, Lilla Edet and Göteborg.

ISGR was established to help the Gothenburg Region be an attractive choice for international families, enabling companies to benefit from foreign expertise.

By offering the IB programmes at a high level, international families can be assured continuity in their child's education.
